What gets checked on a home appliance

Turning the machine on is not a test. Our inspectors run the sampled units through their real work cycles and check every point against your approved files.

Operating function

Washers fill, wash, rinse, drain and spin. Ovens and microwaves heat up and hold temperature. Buttons, displays, timers, door locks and error messages all get used, one by one.

Leakage and connections

Inlet and drain hoses, sealing washers, door gaskets and fittings are checked while the machine is running — a dry machine at rest tells you nothing.

Electrical rating items

Voltage, frequency, plug type, power cord and rating label, matched to the market you are selling into.

Noise, vibration, stability

Strange mechanical noise, shaking, drum contact and door-seal behavior at high spin speed are written down in the report.

Workmanship and assembly

Scratches, dents, stains, panel gaps, door alignment, control panel and display condition on every sampled unit.

Accessories and documents

Manuals, hoses, tools and model-specific extras are counted against your accessory list.

Packaging and transport protection

Transport bolts, protective foam, carton condition and shipping marks checked against your packing files. Bolts and foam removed for testing go back in before the goods are packed again.

A broken appliance found after arrival costs you the whole margin of the order.

Returns, rework and angry reviews all start at the factory gate. One inspection before shipment tells you what you are actually paying for.

Problems we catch before your money leaves

Wrong voltage or plug

A batch built for the wrong market means returns, not reviews.

Water leaks

Machines run with water, so leaks show up here — not in your customer's kitchen.

Functions quitting mid-cycle

Logged with the exact stage where the unit failed.

Scratches and dents

Photographed and counted by defect type.

Missing accessories

Short counts written down per carton.

Wrong or damaged cartons

Cheap to fix at the factory, expensive after sailing.

Appliances covered

Each appliance has its own weak points. Water, heat and motors all fail in different ways — the checklist follows the machine, not a template.

Washing machines and washer-dryers

Front-load, top-load, twin-tub, compact and portable.

Cooking appliances

Microwave ovens and similar heated appliances.

Other home appliances

Send the product type — we confirm the checklist before booking.

Goods almost ready to ship?

Send the product, order quantity, factory address and target date. We tell you which inspection fits the order — and if none is needed, we say that too.

What happens on inspection day

  • Our inspector arrives at the factory and confirms the goods are really finished and packed — not just "ready soon".
  • Cartons are counted and samples are pulled at random, following the sampling plan you approved.
  • Every sampled unit goes through the agreed checks: running, filling, heating, spinning, draining.
  • Every defect is photographed, measured and written down on the spot.
  • The report is written and sent to you. Nothing depends on the factory's own words.

What on-site inspection covers — and what it cannot

A factory visit and a laboratory test answer different questions. Knowing the difference keeps your quality budget on the checks that actually protect the order.

Confirmed at the factory

  • Basic operation through the appliance's working stages
  • Visible workmanship, assembly and finish
  • Leakage, controls, accessories, labels and packaging
  • Observable noise, vibration and operating movement

Requires a laboratory

  • Wash and rinse performance, energy and water use
  • Endurance and long-term durability
  • Complete technical or safety evaluation
  • Declared performance against IEC 60456:2024 methods

On-site results apply to the checked samples and the recorded site conditions. When your project needs controlled performance or safety testing, we arrange the laboratory testing based on the product, material and destination market. For a real on-site scope, read our washing machine inspection checklist.

Sampling and the shipment decision

ISO 2859-1 / ANSI/ASQ Z1.4

Used for random sampling when this sampling standard is agreed for your order. Sample size follows the inspection level you approve.

Critical / Major / Minor

Every defect is recorded with photos, quantities and a class based on the agreed criteria. The report reads as a decision document, not a defect dump.

You make the call

We report the findings. You decide whether to ship, ask for rework, arrange a re-inspection or hold the order.

Ordered, finished and packed quantities.

SKU coverage

Which models were sampled, and how many.

Defect evidence

Photos, counts and classification per finding.

Measurements and tests

Actual numbers from the agreed checks.

Labels and packaging

Rating labels, barcodes, packing, carton condition.

Anything not checked

Stated clearly in the report.

When buyers usually call us

First order with a new supplier

You have never seen their production. An inspection costs far less than a bad container.

A repeat order after a quality slip

The last batch had problems. This time you want your own eyes inside the factory before the balance payment.

Before Amazon FBA

FNSKU, carton labels, barcode scanning and packing checked before the goods touch the warehouse.

After rework

The factory says they fixed it. A re-inspection proves it before you release the payment.

We match the inspector to the product. Your appliance order gets someone who tests appliances for a living — not a generalist with a universal form.

Questions buyers ask before booking

How much does a home appliance inspection cost?

The cost depends on the product type, order quantity, factory location and inspection scope. Send these details to the coordination team and you receive a quotation before booking.

When should the inspection take place?

Most buyers book a final random inspection when production is complete and at least 80% of the goods are packed. Earlier checks are available at 5–10% and 30–50% of production, and container loading supervision happens on loading day.

Can an on-site inspection measure wash performance or energy use?

No. Wash and rinse performance, energy and water use, endurance and full safety evaluation require controlled laboratory methods such as IEC 60456. On-site inspection covers operation, leakage, workmanship, labels and packaging, and laboratory testing can be arranged when your project needs it.

How many units will you check?

For a random inspection, the sample size comes from the inspection level you approve under ISO 2859-1 / ANSI/ASQ Z1.4. If you want every single unit checked, book a full inspection instead.

What if the inspection fails?

The report shows exactly what failed and how many units are affected. You decide the next step: rework, re-inspection, partial shipment or holding the order. A re-inspection after rework can be arranged.

Do you check the plug and voltage for my country?

Yes. Plug type, voltage, frequency and the rating label are checked against the destination-market requirements you give us.

Which factory locations do you cover?

The inspection network covers major manufacturing provinces across China, including Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shandong, plus selected sourcing locations across Asia such as Vietnam, India, Thailand and Turkey. Send the factory address and the coordination team confirms availability.

What do you need from me to start?

Send the product type, order quantity, factory address and required inspection date. If available, add your PO, specification, approved sample, packing files or a previous defect list so the inspection scope can be prepared before the factory visit.
