Three Things That Decide If a Bag Sells or Comes Back
Most bag returns come from the same three places. Each one gets its own routine during the inspection.
Stitching
We look where bags usually fail first — handle bases, strap anchors, zipper ends and pocket corners. Stitch count, thread tension and the hidden backing patch behind the handle all get checked. Seam work follows the stitch and seam types described in ASTM D6193.
Zippers
Every sampled zipper gets opened and closed all the way — around curves too, not just a short pull near the opening. Type, size, color, puller and logo must match your approved sample. Buckles, hooks and adjusters get the same treatment.
Handles & Straps
We load the bag the way we agreed with you — hanging, lifting or swinging — and watch the whole load path: stitching, backing, rings, hooks, rivets and the fabric around them. A handle that stretches out of shape is reported, even if it did not break.

Every test follows the method, load and pass limit confirmed with you before the visit. We never invent a test limit at the factory.
Rub and color fastnessDry and wet rub checks on fabric and lining, when included in your scope.
Moisture and moldWet cartons, damp products, water stains and damaged desiccants get photographed and recorded.

Different Bags Fail in Different Places
The checklist changes with the product. A few examples of what that means in practice.
Trolley luggage
Wheels and wheel housings, telescopic handle travel and lock, corner guards and shell condition — a carry handle and a telescopic handle are tested as two different things.
Backpacks
Upper and lower shoulder-strap anchors, back padding, adjuster slip under load and left-right balance.
Handbags
Handle tabs, rings and rivets, the internal backing behind them, and lining that must stay clear of the zipper path.
Travel & duffel bags
Top handles, side handles and detachable straps as separate checks, including their hooks and stitching.
How Many Pieces We Check — and When a Lot Fails
We sample by the standard AQL tables (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, also known as ISO 2859-1). You decide how strict the check is. Most bag buyers use these limits: no critical defects allowed, major defects at 2.5, minor at 4.0.

How much does a bag inspection cost?
We charge per man-day — one inspector for one working day. The price depends on factory location, order size and scope. Travel and weekend work are already included, and you get the full quote in writing before you commit.
How fast can an inspector reach our factory?
Within 48 hours across China once we have your purchase order, product specification, factory address and inspection date. You get the result on the same day and the full photo report within 24 hours.
Does a random inspection test every handle and zipper?
No. Workmanship, measurement, zipper and handle-test samples use different quantities agreed in your scope. When every single piece must be checked, we arrange a 100% full inspection instead.
Can you check barcodes and Amazon FBA requirements?
Yes. Every sampled barcode must scan and match your SKU data — 100% pass, no exceptions. For FBA orders we also check FNSKU labels, polybag warnings, carton weights and carton marks, plus a carton drop test when you approve one.
What happens if the inspection fails?
You get a fail or hold result with photos of every defect and the classified defect list. You decide what happens next — rework, sorting, re-inspection or negotiation with the factory. The release decision is always yours.
Does an on-site water check prove my bag is waterproof?
No. An on-site water check records what we observe under the method agreed for that order. A formal waterproof or water-resistance rating needs a laboratory test under controlled conditions, which we can arrange separately.
Who picks the pieces that get checked?
Our inspector draws samples randomly from different cartons, positions, colors and sizes. Pieces pre-selected by the factory are not accepted as random shipment samples.
