Furniture Inspection Services in China — Buyer Planning Checklist

Before requesting a quotation:
[ ] Product details: Models, quantities, materials, drawings and approved sample references.
[ ] Factory & timing: Factory address, contact, production status and intended shipment date.
[ ] Acceptance criteria: Dimension tolerances, finish references, defect criteria and packing specifications.
[ ] Special checks: Assembly quantity, proposed test methods, equipment needs and any laboratory work.

Scope to agree:
[ ] Dimensions & specifications: Compare overall dimensions, component sizes, color, material identifiers and model configuration with approved drawings and samples. Record the measurement method and tolerance for each critical dimension.
[ ] Assembly & hardware: Assemble selected units using the supplied instructions and fittings. Check hole alignment, hardware quantity, part identification, fit and whether doors or drawers move as intended.
[ ] Workmanship & finish: Look for scratches, chips, exposed edges, uneven coating, visible glue, gaps and surface inconsistencies. Use the agreed viewing conditions and approved finish reference.
[ ] Function & agreed on-site checks: Check operation, movement and stability where specified and feasible. Confirm any load, moisture or other instrument-based check in advance, including method, equipment and limits.
[ ] Labels, instructions & identification: Compare model details, labels, shipping marks and assembly instructions with approved artwork. Check that the item, manual, accessories and carton belong to the same configuration.
[ ] Packaging & carton contents: Review component protection, corners, hardware bags, carton condition, quantities and packing arrangement. Define any drop or transport simulation separately rather than assuming it is included.

Confirm sampling, access, timing, report delivery, quotation inclusions and any follow-up charges.
